Description
Thermal Relief Valve is used to prevent pump from overheating. As the temperature rises and reaches 140 degrees the valve will open and release allowing the water temperature to decrease. The valve will open in a range from 2 to 10 seconds depending on how rapid the temperature increase. Be sure to use proper valve for your unit. Make sure the temperature relief is below your max temp of your unit. If not the temp will rise above your max rating and could melt your piston seals.
Valve is to be installed on the bypass side of the pump. If possible it is recommended for best result the thermal be in the direct path of the water flow so that the valve will be accurate and precise every time.

An optional 7469 hose barb can be attached to the 1/8-27NPSF opening of the valve so that a hose can be attached to direct the water flow out the discharge.
